Atlanta Underground Market at Atlantic Station

by Melissa on October 18, 2011

Part market, part food rave – the Atlanta Underground Market is giving a platform once a month to home cooks, food artisans and established businesses to create some brilliant slow food dishes and share with the members of this private club. And by private club, all you have to do to “join” is go to the Market’s website and sign up for the email list. Then you can join a few hundred of your closest friends and try some mighty tasty food.

And this almost vegetarian loves that there are so many vegetarian and vegan options for those veggies like me.

The Atlanta Underground Market takes place at (typically) a different downtown Atlanta location every month. This month it was at Atlantic Station, just like the month before. I don’t blame them for having the market here two months in a row, it’s a pretty great location.

This event is something that you need to experience for yourself. It’s events like these, with great food businesses, that make me fall in love with the Atlanta food scene all over again.

I will let the photos tell the rest of the story:

Hi Melissa,

I’m so excited about the resurgence of “slow” and artisan foods in American culture. We’re making and sharing recipes that our parents and grandparents enjoyed when young, and that’s wonderful. Thanks for sharing your post and pictures about the Atlanta Underground Market.

(I’ll tweet this too!)
